While once serving dozens of patients per day in a large group practice, Doctor Samuels opted for a more passionate and personalized medical career.  She prefers to make sure that visits are not rushed or routine, but occur in the old-fashioned mode of providing each patient with additional time and care necessary to improve and sustain their mental and physical well being.

Doctor Samuels’ favorite part of caring for her patients is the one-on-one family centered service that is holistic in nature and personal by design. The biggest challenge that Doctor Samuels faces is making an impact in the South Loop, which can be impersonal and distant, by bringing warmth and friendly care to the fast pace of the city.

Doctor Samuels also serves as board chairperson for the Westwood Community Development Corporation, which is responsible for building new homes and rehabbing old homes, in an effort to renew and revitalize communities in Roseland, Chatham, Englewood, and Auburn Park. "Dr. Vicki" has served Commonwealth Community Church as leader of various youth programs, including Director of the Junior Church, sponsor of the Commonwealth Christian Academy and the Passport to Adventure youth mentoring program.
